Whaea Katie

Kia ora te whanau. Nga mihi nui o te tau hou.

My name is Katie McIndoe and I am the teacher in Room 18.  This classroom is a year 4-5 Maori Medium Education class. 

In 2022, I will celebrate 22 years of working within the teaching profession.  I returned to Western Heights Primary in 2019, after working as a teaching principal for 11 years.  I was the team leader for the junior school at Western Heights before I left in 2008. 

My passions are whanau, music and travel. I have 2 grown up daughters and 2 mokopuna aged 8 and 21.  My whanau also includes husband Richard, our treasured Pitbull named Moko and 2 goldfish.  I love boil up and all seafood and my go to recipe is bacon and egg pie.
