Whaea Clare

Kia Ora, my name is Whaea Clare,

I am very excited to be teaching at Western Heights Primary School and supporting our students with learning needs. I am dedicated to seeing the tamariki of Western Heights Primary School achieve academically as lifelong learners and as future leaders.

I am originally from a small town called Macclesfield in England, where I completed my undergraduate degree in dance and choreography. I moved to New Zealand in 2010 and started my teaching journey at the University of Waikato. I have recently completed my Graduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching with Massey University and taught at Kea Street Specialist School.

I started teaching at Western Heights Primary School in 2019 in the junior school. I love working at Western Heights Primary School, the tamariki and staff are amazing. I am passionate about students achieving highly both academically and as future leaders. I am committed to making everyday fun, exciting and purposeful.
